A National Gathering for the Vietnam Green Transition Association
On January 27 in Hanoi, the Vietnam Green Transition Association (VGTA) held its First Representative Congress for the 2026–2030 term. At the event, nearly 300 delegates attended from enterprises, scientific institutions, social organizations, and member units nationwide.
Notably, V-International participated as an official member of the Association, reaffirming its long-term commitment to sustainable development and green business practices in Vietnam.
Mission and Role of the Vietnam Green Transition Association
The Association operates as a voluntary, non-profit socio-professional organization. In essence, it connects individuals and institutions engaged in environmentally responsible research, production, and business activities.
At the same time, the Association promotes efficient resource use, emission reduction, and sustainable growth. Therefore, it aims to turn green transition from policy direction into concrete action across industries.

Vietnam Green Transition Association as a Collaborative Platform
The Association serves as a platform linking businesses, scientists, and social organizations. Through this platform, members exchange experience, technology, and practical solutions for green transition.
Moreover, the Association protects the legitimate rights and interests of its members, including enterprises such as V-International. In addition, it encourages business models that balance economic efficiency with social responsibility and environmental protection. As a result, members can align business growth with national sustainability goals.
Key Discussions and Strategic Directions
During the Congress, delegates discussed operational priorities of the Association for its first term. In particular, they focused on improving coordination among members.
Meanwhile, delegates highlighted the role of public–private partnerships and international cooperation. Furthermore, they stressed the need to accelerate the application of green technologies in production and business activities. Consequently, research outcomes can move faster into real-world implementation.
Leadership Structure of the Vietnam Green Transition Association
The Congress elected a 36-member Executive Committee representing diverse sectors. Specifically, these include scientific research, industrial manufacturing, sustainable agriculture, services, and trade.
Subsequently, delegates elected an 11-member Standing Committee. Mr. Dang Huy Dong, former Vice Minister of Planning and Investment, was elected President. Additionally, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mai Quang Vinh was elected Vice President and Secretary General, alongside six other Vice Presidents.
Action Program of the Vietnam Green Transition Association (2026–2030)
The Congress also approved the Action Program for the first term. Importantly, the program defines clear and actionable priorities.
These priorities include developing criteria to assess green transition activities in enterprises, organizing professional training programs and forums, and proposing policy support for businesses. At the same time, the Association will expand international cooperation to learn from advanced green technology and sustainable development models.
Commitment to Sustainable Development
Overall, the First Representative Congress marked a key milestone for the Vietnam Green Transition Association. More importantly, it showed growing alignment between the Government, the business community, and society.
For member enterprises such as V-International, the Association provides a strategic platform. Through active participation, companies can contribute expertise, collaborate on green initiatives, and support Vietnam’s green transition in a practical and measurable way.
“Hanoi will be a key focal area for our activities,” said Mr. Dang Huy Dong, President of the Association. Accordingly, the Association will prioritize green urban planning and sustainable agriculture.
