On November 24, 2025, the Specialized – Educational Programming Department of Vietnam Television (VTV) and Korea’s FTV officially signed a memorandum of cooperation, marking a new milestone in documentary production and international media collaboration. The ceremony took place in a formal yet warm atmosphere, reflecting the goodwill and long-term expectations shared by both sides.

The event began with opening remarks and the introduction of delegates. The statements delivered by representatives from both organizations underscored their mutual interest in knowledge, culture, and efforts to bring high-quality television content closer to the public. A presentation video about FTV left a strong impression: as one of Korea’s major entertainment channels, FTV excels in travel, culture, cuisine, and particularly world-nature documentary series—an advantage that lays a solid foundation for cooperation with VTV.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Choiyoungjin, CEO of FTV, emphasized FTV’s aspiration to work alongside VTV in producing documentaries about Vietnam’s seas and natural landscapes, thereby introducing the beauty of Vietnam to international audiences. He also expressed hope that Vietnamese teams would join filming projects in Korea, creating a multidirectional cultural exchange.

Representing VTV, Ms. Nguyễn Thu Hà, Head of the Specialized – Educational Programming Department, affirmed that the partnership with FTV will pave the way for modernization in VTV’s documentary production. Both sides agreed to explore human-centered themes ranging from marine ecology and natural environments to culture and daily life. She highlighted that this cooperation is an opportunity for Vietnamese imagery to reach a broader global audience while also bringing Korean documentary works closer to Vietnamese viewers.

The signing moment between the two representatives marked a significant turning point in Vietnam–Korea television collaboration. Under the memorandum, VTV and FTV will co-produce documentaries about Vietnam’s marine environment and natural heritage for broadcast in Korea, cooperate in licensing and filming exchanges, and organize training, workshops, and professional development programs.

The event also welcomed Ms. Đoàn Bích Hạnh – Director of V-International Marketing & Business Services Co., Ltd., who played a key role as a strategic connector contributing to the successful linkage between VTV and FTV. Her involvement highlights the growing importance of professional intermediary organizations in facilitating international media partnerships.

The ceremony concluded with warm handshakes, commemorative photos, and genuine expressions of confidence. The VTV–FTV collaboration is not merely a signing—it’s a cultural bridge and a shared journey to showcase the beauty of Vietnam and Korea through meaningful, high-quality documentary storytelling.
