Massive $68M Hai Phong Logistics Complex Project Approved
The northern port city of Hai Phong has officially approved the investment policy for a “Next-Generation Logistics Complex.” Valued at over $68 million (VND 1.8 trillion), this ambitious project aims to strengthen Vietnam’s maritime economy. Specifically, the city People’s Committee announced the approval on April 1, marking a significant milestone for regional infrastructure.

Strategic Location and Scale
The Hai Phong logistics complex project will span more than 53 hectares within the South Hai Phong Coastal Economic Zone. Bee Next Generation Logistics JSC will develop the site in Kien Hai Commune. Currently, authorities envision this region as a new “growth pole” for the nation’s logistics industry.
The approved plan divides the complex into three functional zones. Each zone will feature:
-
Integrated Facilities: Internal fuel stations and technical support areas.
-
Storage Solutions: Modern warehouses and expansive outdoor storage yards.
-
Commercial Services: Large-scale parking lots and various administrative support offices.
Phased Development and Connectivity
Developers will execute the project in three distinct phases to ensure steady growth. Phase 1 will begin operations in late 2028, followed by Phase 2 in 2030. Finally, the entire complex will commence full operations by the fourth quarter of 2032.
Furthermore, the complex sits in a highly strategic location. It connects directly to the Nam Do Son international gateway port and an extensive inland port system. This hub also links to critical northern infrastructure, including:
-
The Coastal Highway
-
The Hanoi-Hai Phong Expressway
-
The planned Lao Cai – Hanoi – Hai Phong high-speed railway
A Comprehensive Suite of Services
Once completed, the complex will provide a full range of logistics services. These include cargo reception, shipping, warehousing, customs clearance, and final delivery. Because it serves seaports, airports, and inland waterways, the project functions as a core logistics engine for the entire Hai Phong area.
Finally, the Hai Phong logistics complex project supports the city’s goal of becoming a global maritime center. By providing advanced packaging, labeling, and customer consulting services, the hub enhances the competitiveness of Vietnamese exports.
