Citi Vietnam has been recognized as the Best International Bank in Vietnam at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2025, reaffirming its consistent growth, innovation, and leadership in the country’s banking sector.
In its award citation, Euromoney highlighted Citi’s strong performance in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives. Notable achievements include facilitating Vietnam’s first voluntary carbon credit transaction and signing a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to promote low-emission development.
The magazine also emphasized Citi Vietnam’s comprehensive suite of banking services, which span corporate and investment banking, securities brokerage, and trading.

In 2024, for instance, Citi provided a VND onshore loan combined with onshore-offshore FX hedging for a Taiwanese technology client, marking the first transaction of its kind. The deal showcased Citi’s ability to leverage its global network to deliver innovative financial solutions.
On the digital front, Citi Vietnam launched CitiDirect NextGen, a platform that enhances the online banking experience by integrating Big Data technology. Its digital network enables multi-bank 24/7 access to over 230 banks in 49 countries, real-time global transfers via WorldLink, near real-time fund movement across branches, and 24/7 automated funding services. These advances have significantly improved both customer experience and operational efficiency.

Citi also earned a record 52 global, regional, and local awards from Euromoney, including Banker of the Year for Citi CEO Jane Fraser.
