The Paper V-International Brought to International Conference Hanoi University of Culture

The paper starts from a familiar problem. Many tourism graduates take jobs outside the field they studied. It argues that this rate improves when universities and businesses connect earlier and more closely. First, businesses can signal their real skill needs. Universities can then adjust training toward those needs. As a result, students can see a clear path from the classroom to a matching job.

The creative industries give this link new weight. Tourism now blends with media, events, and digital content. Employers therefore look for graduates who combine service skills with creative thinking. For V-International, the topic is daily practice, not theory. The company connects Vietnamese graduates with employers in Malaysia and beyond. Its 4+1 pathway, presented the same day at the job fair, is one working example of the connection the paper calls for.

In Parallel: Job Fair 2026 on the Same Grounds

While the conference discussed strategy, the job fair put it into practice. Companies introduced themselves in sessions grouped by faculty. The sessions covered cultural heritage, tourism, law, arts management, information and library studies, writing and journalism, cultural studies, and publishing. Then, the university presented letters of appreciation to the participating employers. In parallel, booths stayed open all morning, so students could move freely between talks and one-to-one conversations.

At its booth, V-International presented the 4+1 pathway for final-year students. Students complete their degree in Vietnam, then move straight into paid employment in Malaysia. Along the way, they earn a Malaysian vocational certificate. In addition, accommodation and meals are supported throughout the working period in Malaysia. Interest stayed strong all morning. In total, 66 students registered their interest through the booth’s online form.
