Tomorrow (September 15), during the Conference on the Announcement of Planning and Investment Promotion for Bắc Ninh Province, the province will unveil three projects with a total investment of over $3 billion.
In an interview with Tiền Phong newspaper, Bắc Ninh province authorities stated that during the conference announcing the Bắc Ninh Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, and investment promotion on September 15, the province plans to sign Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and investment cooperation agreements. Investment certificates will also be awarded for major projects, including three significant ones.
Specifically, Bắc Ninh will sign an MoU for the development of a project between Samsung Display Co., Ltd., and the People’s Committee of Bắc Ninh Province for the export of display screens and electronic components at Yên Phong Industrial Park, with a total investment of $1.8 billion.
The province will also issue a decision approving the investment policy for the Hồng Hạc – Xuân Lâm Eco-Urban Area project in Thuận Thành Town, with a total investment of VND 27,000 billion, equivalent to $1.06 billion.
In addition, Bắc Ninh will grant an investment registration certificate to Amkor Technology Vietnam Co., Ltd. for a semiconductor material, equipment manufacturing, assembly, and testing plant project, with an additional investment of $1.07 billion.
According to the Bắc Ninh Department of Planning and Investment, as of August, the Management Board of Industrial Parks in Bắc Ninh had issued 98 new investment registrations with a total registered capital of over $1.4 billion. It also adjusted capital for 89 projects, with an additional $1.6 billion in capital adjustments. Bắc Ninh continues to lead the country in attracting foreign investment.
To date, the Management Board of Industrial Parks in Bắc Ninh has issued investment registrations for over 1,270 active FDI projects, with a total adjusted registered capital exceeding $24.6 billion.
