Advancing Work-Based Learning and International Mobility

During the opening session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phạm Xuân Khánh presented an overview of HHT’s growth and emphasized the institution’s commitment to expanding international career pathways for HHT students. Dato’ Michael Leong and Ms. Đoàn Bích Hạnh detailed Tropicana Academy’s long-standing international educational partnerships, which utilize government-approved WBL frameworks in Malaysia designed to combine practical workplace experience with formal learning.

The participating delegates discussed student admission criteria, language training requirements, and operational oversight mechanisms in Malaysia. High school graduates with basic English communication skills will participate in a one-year paid study-and-work program in Kuala Lumpur, earning an internationally recognized Level IV Certificate certified by the Malaysian Education Department. To prepare candidates effectively, V-International and HHT will coordinate short-term preparatory English language training prior to departure.

The delegation established full consensus on all operational plans and agreed to finalize a formal tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This agreement provides a solid legal framework for student recruitment and deployment, empowering young talents to develop practical skills, earn competitive income, and meet global industry standards. If the project is successful, it will serve as a bridge to strengthen and improve the effectiveness of the three-party relationship.
